Video helps demonstrate a product in action, explain complex concepts, and hold visitors' attention. This is especially important if you sell equipment, furniture, online services, or educational programs. Video is easier to perceive than text or images and communicates the value of your offer more effectively.
You can add a video to a 1C-Bitrix website in several ways: through the media library, the visual editor, or by inserting HTML code. In this article, we will show you how to do this and how to turn a regular video into a lead generation tool using QForm.

Open Administration in the 1C-Bitrix panel. Go to Content -> Site Structure.

In the list on the left, select «Multimedia» → Video.
Click «New Collection», enter a name, and save it. In the created collection, click «New Item» and upload a video file from your computer. Save the item.

Go to the «Site» tab and enable page editing mode by clicking the «Edit Page» button.

In the right-hand panel, select «Content», then «Media», and drag the «Media Player» component onto the page.

Double-click this component. In the settings, find the «File Path» field, click the «…» button, and select the previously uploaded video from the media library. Save the settings and the page.

After these steps, the video file will appear in the specified location on the page and will be ready for playback.
If you already have a ready-made iframe code for a video (for example, from RuTube, Yandex Zen, or other platforms), you can insert it manually:

In Bitrix, go to the «Site» tab, click «Edit Page», and select «In HTML Code Mode» from the button menu.

Insert the copied iframe code into the required location on the page in HTML mode.

Save the changes to the page — the video player will appear on the website.
This way, you can embed a video from any video hosting platform. For detailed instructions on embedding a RuTube video on a 1C-Bitrix website, see the QForm article.
This mode allows you to insert ready-made HTML code from other platforms. To use this method, you need a basic understanding of layout and markup languages.
Go to the Zen service page, find and open the required video. Click the Share button below the player and select «Embed». Copy the frame code.

Return to Bitrix. While on the «Site» tab, open the drop-down list next to the Edit Page button and select «In HTML Code Mode».

Insert the previously copied code into the required location.

Click the Save button, and the video will appear on the page.

Video attracts users' attention and keeps them on the website longer. If you need more customization options, use the QForm video widget. Its simple and convenient interface allows you to configure the display style, launch parameters, and CTA button, while the video itself can be added using just two lines of code.
If you need not only to embed videos but also to drive conversions, consider the QForm video widget. It makes it easy to add a video with advanced features: the QForm service generates a small script for your video (a couple of lines of code) that you simply insert into the page – similar to an iframe, but with additional functionality. The QForm video widget code is compatible with any platform (Bitrix, Tilda, WordPress, and others), and the integration does not require programming skills.
Advantages of the QForm video widget:
Can I embed a RuTube video without uploading the file?
Yes. You can copy the HTML code through «Share → Embed» and insert it into the website in HTML mode. In Bitrix, this code is inserted into the required location on the page in HTML code mode.
Are any special programming skills required?
No. The «Content» section in Bitrix allows you to add videos through the visual editor without using code, while QForm automatically generates the required player code. The user only needs to copy and paste the video widget script.
How can I add a lead capture form to a video?
A standard iframe player does not support this. In QForm, you can enable a form directly inside the video: it will appear at the specified point in the video.
Will QForm improve website conversion rates?
Yes. Since QForm allows you to make a video interactive (by embedding a purchase button or lead form) and track viewer actions, visitors are more likely to complete a target action.
Will the video slow down website loading?
With the correct settings — no. QForm stores videos on a CDN and loads them asynchronously, so the website's main HTML loads without delays.
